Tucktale lets a parent or caregiver set up a bedtime story series in ChatGPT once; each night ChatGPT writes the next episode, and Tucktale remembers the story, reads it aloud and keeps it ready to play.

Getting started

  1. In ChatGPT, add Tucktale Bedtime Stories (Plugins, then search), or mention Tucktale in a chat and allow it when asked.
  2. Say what the stories should be about: "Set up a Tucktale bedtime series about Biscuit, a stuffed rabbit, and Pip, a toy robot, in a village on the clouds. Kindness and courage, medium length, ages 5-6."
  3. Each night: "Tonight's Tucktale episode." The card shows the story; the narration is ready in a minute or two.

Common questions

The narration says it's being recorded. Narration takes about two minutes for a six-minute episode (less for short episodes, longer for long ones). The card updates by itself; the listening page needs a reload.

The narration didn't work. Tap Try the narration again in the card. If it fails again, write to us.

I want to change tonight's episode. Ask ChatGPT: "Make tonight's Tucktale episode calmer" (or shorter, or without something). Only the newest episode can be changed, so the story stays consistent.

I want to change the characters, the voice or the length. Ask ChatGPT, for example "Use the storyteller voice for my Tucktale series" or "Add Mo, a sleepy owl, to the series." Saved episodes stay as they are.

Where are my links? Ask ChatGPT to "show my Tucktale series". The card has the private listening link and the podcast feed.

My listening link was shared too widely. Ask ChatGPT to give the series a new listening link. The old link and feed stop working.

Podcast app. Copy the podcast feed from the card or the listening page and add it in your podcast app by URL (Apple Podcasts: Library, then Follow a Show by URL).

The season book. After episodes are saved, the card offers the season as a book (PDF). It is laid out for print at 8.5 × 8.5 inches.

Languages. Narration is in English.

Deleting. Ask ChatGPT to "delete my Tucktale series". Everything in it is deleted at once.
